Additional information
"The Foundation Year is aimed at anyone who wants to study for an engineering degree but doesn't have the right qualifications. So the essential aim of the programme is to prepare students for the range of honours degree programmes in engineering and subjects related to engineering.
We have found that when students come into our Foundation Year, many don't have a very clear understanding of what engineering involves. As they go through the Year, they begin to appreciate the subject more deeply. They develop their ideas about what aspects of the subject interest them most and to which they are best suited.
We have therefore modified our course to encourage and help students to develop their ideas and to offer choices that will make the year a more satisfying and effective preparation for honours degree study."
