Additional information
The BSc Mathematics and Physics with Astrophysics degree covers fundamental areas of Mathematics and Physics, with a specialisation in Astrophysics. Just over half of the topics during the first two years are in Physics, and cover areas such as relativity, quantum mechanics, fields and waves, electromagnetism, astronomy and nuclear physics. The Mathematics element gives students a foundation in all branches of mathematics, for example algebra, analysis, probability and mathematical methods. In the third year approximately a quarter of your time is spent studying Maths, with the rest spent on Physics and Astrophysics courses. |
