Additional information
These courses gives you a broad understanding of the aviation industry and of core management competencies. You may choose either the Management Pathway, focusing on the management of airport, airline and ancillary businesses, or the Pilot Pathway, covering the technical education required to be an Airline Transport Pilot. Unless you already hold a Private Pilot Licence you should plan to complete your own practical flying training between levels 1 and 2. You are responsible for financing your flying training (costing around 4,000 for the Private Pilot Licence and about 20,000 for the Commercial Pilot Licence). To add the Instrument Rating, you need a further 12,000. You should ensure that you meet the medical standards before starting the course. Flying training for Management Pathway students is optional.
A top-up course has been created to enable students to progress from the Foundation Degree in Aviation Management and Operations to the BSc degree at Level 3. |
